Bozena Kuncewicz - Councillor
Bozena has been co-opted again on to the
Parish Council and was very pleased to receive a unanimous vote.
After five years on the Council, she reluctantly resigned March 2010 due to
ill health. During that time she chaired the Parish Plan Committee and was
actively involved in initiatives that included: the Christmas Tree in the
Village Square; revitalising the Best Village Competition and the Wolvey
Festival. She also held the position of Chair for some of that time.
Recently Bozena returned to laying out the Newsletter, has set up a reading
club in the village and is working one half day per week on a voluntary
basis at the local primary school.
After retiring in April from her job as a geography teacher and now with
improved health wants to help provide for the needs of
our community and use her experience to research and plan for the future of
Wolvey.
Born in Coventry, a daughter of Polish post war immigrants, Bozena is fluent
in the language. Resident in Wolvey for 30 years she lives with her husband
Andrew Dixon. Her three grown up sons have left home. |
