Ruth was co-opted onto the Parish Council in March 2007. She lives on Leicester Road with her husband Ted, has three daughters and three granddaughters, Ruth was a Chef throughout her working life, is passionate about Planning & Countryside issues and a founder member of the Wolvey Environmental Group (WEG).

Ruth was elected Chair of the Parish Council in 2010.
