Ron Podesta - Vice Chair
Ron Podesta came to Wolvey, from Coventry, in 1979. He has two grown up sons and two grandchildren.
He is former youth leader with the Wolvey Youth club and full time Youth Leader at Bedworth. An active member of Wolvey Bowling Club for 27 years. He has served as Treasurer Captain and President
Ron was employed in the Motor Industry for 30 years as a Production Foreman Superintendent and Employee Communications Officer. For some 10 years he ran his own Plumbing Building Business.
Now retired he currently does volunteer work with Age Concern, teaching over 50s in local libraries, the use of Computers Emails and Web Browsing.
His interests are the Environment and Community support for the aged and less able. It is these which motivated him to stand for the Parish Council; as a member of which he hopes contribute something back into the community and village life that he has enjoyed while living in Wolvey.
Ron was elected Vice Chair of the Parish Council in 2010.
