Report of meeting held on Monday 15 February 2010

The meeting was held with Councillor Buswell in the chair. Councillors Hawkins, Slee, Podesta, Elliott & Wickens and four visitors were present.

Planning

An update on previous Planning Applications was received:

R09/0704/PLN   Land adjacent to at Rosefield, Hinckley Road – pending

Ref 593 8 BROOKFIELD DRIVE, WOLVEY LE10 3LT- pending

R09/0990/HOUS  1 MILL LANE, WOLVEY, LE10 3HR- pending

APP/E3715/A/09/2114645/WF MILL FARM, MILL ROW- appeal dismissed relating to Barns 2 & 4; appeal upheld in relation to Barns 1 & 3

R09/1023/PLN            3 COVENTRY ROAD, WOLVEY - pending

No new applications received

Parish Council Minutes & Historical documents

The binding of the Parish Council Minutes (currently held in a loose leaf folder) was considered by the council

Following discussion ,IT WAS RESOLVED to order the Minutes from Oct 1996 to December 2005 to be bound.

IT WAS AGREED that the History Group should be given until September to photograph the historical documents in the safe. After this they will be sent to the County Records office for storage.

 Environment

 A report from the Environment Group was provided by Cllr Buswell

More reeds have been removed from the pond, wildflower seeds are being sourced. A wicker hide in the Wetland and an open day on weekend of 5th/6th June are being planned.

The purchase of trees for the Wetland was considered, as indicated in the Wetland Management Plan. Councillor Slee to order trees to the value of £50-60, for planting in the spring                                                                                                             

Clerk to complete an application for a grant for more trees to be planted in November.

Councillor Surgeries

Wolvey Parish Council now holds a Councillor Surgery on the first Wednesday of every month to enable local residents to raise issues with councillors informally, outside of parish council meetings.

If you would like to speak to a parish councillor, please come along on Wednesday 3rd March at 7.30pm in the back room of the Village Hall

Next meeting of the Parish Council to be held on Monday March 15th at 7.45pm in Wolvey Village Hall.

Members of the public are invited to attend all meetings of the parish council.  An agenda will be posted on the village notice board and on the parish council website three clear days prior to the meetings
