GROVE FARM, WOLDS LANE, WOLVEY, LE10 3LL Removal of hedgerow totaling 240
metres in length RESOLVED:
Wolvey Parish Council is concerned about the number of hedgerows that are
being removed at this farm and the resultant loss of habitat for wildlife
and the impact on the environment. The council requests that planning
officers check the age and quality of the hedge.
If the removal of the hedge is likely to be approved, would it be
possible for a condition that compensatory planting be provided to offset
the environmental damage?
Report
of meeting with Rugby youth officer
Councillor Buswell provided a report of a meeting
with The Rugby Youth officer. It is hoped that an activity bus may be
provided later in the year, once a week for 10 weeks, to provide activities
for the young people in Wolvey and to
try to determine their needs. It is also hoped that activities can be
arranged which can establish links with Gamecock Barracks, Bramcote.
