This year Rugby in Bloom is celebrating its 22nd year. This hugely
successful campaign is run by Rugby Borough Council with the
co-operation of many local organisations.
The aim of the competition is to encourage all sectors of the community to
brighten up the environment with flowers. There are various categories to
enable residents living in the town and villages (with a variety of gardens)
to participate. There are various trophies and prizes awarded for all of the
categories.
In this year's
Rugby in Bloom competition, Wolvey Old Cricket Field Wetland Reserve were awarded a GOLD
in the Environmental Category and Wolvey Village Square were awarded a
SILVER GILT
in the Community Category.
