Smartwater:

This is a clear liquid which carries a DNA profile exclusive to the purchaser. One spot on each possession will link the item to the owner, via registration on the Smartwater list. It can be used on electrical items, jewellery, bicycles and garden tools, etc. it is invisible to the naked eye. At this time, Smartwater can be purchased for £15, from our PCSO Sharon Bailie or through Jon Wiggins, the Wolvey Neighbourhood Watch coordinator.

When Smartwater is purchased within an area, signage will be provided, ststing this is a Smartwater area. Statistics show that local crime figures are likely to fall significantly.

Wolvey Neighbourhood Watch:

The Wolvey Neighbourhood Watch scheme is making steady progress with the number of people getting involved increasing steadily. We still need more to get involved.

It really doesn't take much time and commitment to support this important and much wanted scheme so please come along to the meeting on the 10th July to find out more or to register. I believe we need approximately 15 coordinators to ensure the success of the scheme going forward. The activities carried out by coordinators may include:

Handing out information and window stickers to those people who are interested in the scheme.
Helping to raise awareness about the scheme by talking to others.
Receiving crime updates either via e-mail or via telephone messages from the local police.
Sharing appropriate crime updates with as many people as possible in order to improve vigilance.
Attend the village watch meeting - there will only be 4 during the whole year.
Occasionally attend a regional gathering of the Warwickshire Neighbourhood Watch
