Each year Wolvey enters the Warwickshire's Community Awards (formerly Best  Village) and Rugby in Bloom Competitions.

Wolvey Awards 2011

Warwickshire's Community Awards 2011
The competition is open to any group or organisation in a village with no more than 5,000 residents and there are hundreds of pounds to be won. There are six categories:

This year Wolvey was judged to be Warwickshire's Best Village overall for 2011 winning a large cup, £300 in prize money and the Statue of Warwickshire's Bear and Staff which is sited in Wolvey Square for the coming year.
 
Wolvey was also awarded Gold in the  for Communication Category, and Gold in the Sustainable Environment Category.

Rugby in Bloom Awards 2011

Rugby in Bloom is celebrating its 22nd year in 2011. This hugely successful campaign is run by Rugby Borough Council with the co-operation of many local organisations. Entries for this competition can be made by groups, businesses or individuals in a number of different categories.

In this year's Rugby in Bloom competition, Wolvey Old Cricket Field Wetland Reserve were awarded a GOLD in the Environmental Category and Wolvey Square were awarded a SILVER GILT in the Community Category.

Wolvey Awards 2010

Warwickshire Best Village of the Year Competition

In 2008, the Warwickshire Rural Community Council introduced a brand new competition to enable individual groups within rural communities to each make their own separate entry to celebrate their achievements. It is no longer intended simply for parish councils to enter. 2010 is the third year that the competition has been run.

In 2010, Wolvey won GOLD in the Community Projects category, a SILVER Award in the Environment Section and achieved a credible THIRD overall in the Warwickshire Best Village Competition.

Rugby in Bloom Awards

Entries for this competition can be made by groups, businesses or individuals in a number of different categories.

In
this year's Rugby in Bloom competition Wolvey were awarded a GOLD in the Community section for Wolvey Square and a GOLD in the Environment Section. Wolvey were also crowned OVERALL WINNER of the Environment Section and received an engraved Shield to keep and Display for the coming year.

Wolvey Awards 2009

Warwickshire Best Village of the Year Competition

In 2009, Wolvey was awarded first prize in the entry in the Environmental Projects section and received £150 prize money. The judges praised the boardwalk project and all the efforts of the volunteers of the environment group. Wolvey was also placed third in the Best Kept Village category.

Rugby in Bloom Awards

Entries for this competition can be made by groups, businesses or individuals in a number of different categories.

In 2009
Wolvey entered two categories and was successful in each. In the Environment category, the environment group were awarded a GOLD for the Wetland reserve. In the Communities section the parish council were awarded a SILVER for the Square.

Calor Village of the Year Competition

The Calor Village of the Year Competition was started in 1997. There are three rounds of the competition- at county, regional and national level. The WRCC has been organising the county level of the competition since its inception. All villages with a population of 5,000 or less can enter.

For the 2009 competition in Warwickshire, Wolvey was awarded first prize for Business in the community and received prize money of £100.
Judges comments were: “The judges were impressed with this entry, but felt the sustainability of the community itself needed to be considered as well as the natural environment”

Warwickshire Best Village of the Year Competition

Wolvey were judged to be Warwickshire's Best Village for Communication, and Warwickshire's Best Village for the Environment 2008 in the Warwickshire's Best Village of the Year Competition, and came second overall,

Rugby in Bloom Awards
In 2008 'The Square' in Wolvey won a Gold award and Wolvey Environmental Group won a 2nd Prize for 'The Old Cricket Field Wetland Reserve.
