Wolvey Awards 2009
In 2008,
the Warwickshire Rural Community Council introduced a brand new competition
to enable individual groups within rural communities to each make their own
separate entry to celebrate their achievements. It is no longer intended
simply for parish councils to enter. 2009 is the second year that the
competition has been run.
he Calor
Village
of the Year Competition was started in 1997. There are three rounds of the
competition- at county, regional and national level. The WRCC has been
organising the county level of the competition since its inception. All
villages with a population of 5,000 or less can enter.
